About The Position

SGRE is currently seeking highly talented and motivated candidates for an Internship in Project Management. The intern will work together with a multi-disciplinary group to support the execution of campaign work throughout our North America Region. The focus will be on learning project management, identifying opportunities for improvement in operational efficiency, resource optimization, and cost reduction. The intern will assist the team involved in the management process groups, controlling phases, and keeping stakeholders informed with a focus on safety cost, time, and quality. This position reports to the Major Warranty Projects PMO Team under the North America Onshore Operations Major Projects Department, which is accountable for managing the execution of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy's warranty project obligations in a structured project landscape. The intern will ensure adherence to PM guidelines and operation standards as outlined in our Major Projects Operating Model. The SGRE Summer Intern Program is a 12-week program, kicking off on June 2, 2025, in Orlando, FL.

Requirements

  • Interest in the wind industry with a focus on technical solutions.
  • Basic knowledge of Project Management disciplines e.g., customer value orientation, financials, planning & controlling, risk/opportunity management, stakeholder management, quality and EHS, team development, leadership in projects, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly paced environment and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Structured approach to project management and ability to handle project changes occurring in a dynamic environment.
  • Proven team player and collaborator.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in representing Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in customer-facing warranty project-related discussions.
  • Support the planning and execution of warranty projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help implement PM guidelines and processes, and assist the respective functional organization as needed.
  • Collaborate with global counterparts to learn about budget setting for projects following global processes and procedures.
  • Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with business users and stakeholders.
  • Help develop project plans (schedule, budget, etc.) and associated documents.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure the team stays on the approved timeline and budget.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Coordinate with global and regional counterparts to drive efficiencies and best practices globally.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plan and schedules.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and secure those resources through the respective functional departments as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to the team and management on work performed, schedule, budget, and overall status.
  • Prepare and contribute to contractual matters with external parties (i.e., vendors, clients).
  • Be self-motivated, able to think quickly, multi-task, and address problems as they arise.
  • Drive a high-performance culture through strong leadership and effective team management using varied resources across multiple geographical, departmental, and organizational silos.
  • Ability to influence and lead stakeholders to the desired targets.
  • Continuously improve processes by standardizing workflow using lean methodology.
