This summer internship at Harmony offers a unique perspective into a rare-disease focused biotech company. Our internship program will provide you the opportunity to work on real-world projects, as well as network with people at Harmony through various events and activities. Summary of Internship: This position will work on the IT Security team at Harmony. The Harmony IT Security team is responsible for protecting our sensitive business information from invasion, as well as securing digital data, through computer network security. This position will work on one or more projects in the area of Information Security and will be responsible for assisting the IT security Manager with coordinating and managing components/ tasks of Harmony’s information security program. There may also be projects and initiatives within the IT Infrastructure team that may require support.

Requirements

  • Minimum age for all candidates must be at least 18 years or older
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university as a rising sophomore, junior or senior
  • Must be proficient in use of MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Teams
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including flexibility, collaboration and inclusion skills, and ability to work in a team environment
  • Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the review and update of documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Research and evaluate applications and services for use by Harmony. Provide a matrix, detailing features within each different application or service.
  • Assistance with the deployment and upkeep of the information security department’s website content as part of the IT intranet site
  • Aid in the Pentest of internal and external sites
  • Partner with business teams in developing the table top scenarios and align with the Harmony IT team in designing the solution
  • Assist with SSO for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required.
  • Under the guidance of the CIO and the security manager, list compliance tasks against accepted security controls by partnering with the Compliance team
  • Work internally with the Security manager and external security consultant in drafting the security roadmap and plan
  • Other duties as assigned
