Summary: Vaxcyte’s Summer Internship program offers students with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience that complements their college curriculum with relevant hands-on work that can shape their future career pathing and interests. As an Immunoassay Intern for Vaxcyte, you will work on a project as outlined below: Optimize the current assay platform to improve sensitivity and accuracy for detecting pneumococcal antigens in human samples. Conduct experiments to test the assay's ability to detect antigens in human samples spiked with known concentrations. Analyze and interpret results to refine assay protocols and troubleshoot issues that arise during testing. The Intern will learn and practice: Hands-on experience in optimizing immunoassays, which are widely applicable to various immunoassays used in clinical and manufacturing settings. Design experiments to test assay performance, analyze results, and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (enrolled student with at least 1 year at university completed) with a focus on Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail and work quality.
  • Demonstrates collaboration and teamwork.
  • Enthusiastic-Shows curiosity and is eager to learn.
