Summer Intern - Golf Resort Operations
About The Position
Freestone Lake and Golf is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Operations Summer Intern to support daily club operations during the peak summer season. This paid internship runs from May through August and provides hands-on exposure to multiple areas of hospitality operations, making it ideal for candidates looking to grow a career in the hospitality, recreation, or club management industry. The intern will work closely with department leaders and staff to assist with club operations, member services, food and beverage, golf services, and outdoor pursuits while gaining practical, real-world experience in a private club environment.
Requirements
- Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree or career interest in hospitality management, business, recreation, sports management, or a related field
- Strong interest in the hospitality and private club industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule , including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day club operations to ensure a high level of service for members and guests
- Support member services , including greeting members, handling requests, and assisting with cottages, events and activities
- Provide operational support to food and beverage , including dining service, events, and special functions
- Assist with golf operations , such as golf shop support, tee sheet coordination, and on-course services
- Support outdoor pursuits and recreational activities as needed
- Help with setup, breakdown, and execution of club events and programs
- Collaborate with team members across departments to maintain a positive, service-focused environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall club operations
