At RGA, we're seeking summer interns for the Global Technology department. There are several opportunities to learn and begin working side-by-side with technology teams spanning software development, cloud services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, information management, data analytics, technology strategy, and project management. Summer projects and responsibilities will vary based on your placement. While your primary responsibilities will depend on your team placement, you will have other opportunities to learn about the business and network with other interns through RGA's core internship program.

Requirements

  • Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, ideally in a relevant discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or other data or technology-related majors).
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply.
  • Competent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to analyze and solve routine problems by identifying root causes, issues or approaches required.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and seek involvement from others and areas to solve problems required.
  • Ability to develop requirement documents, User Stories, Use Cases and Test Cases required.
  • Ability to translate basic business needs and problems into technical solutions with assistance required.

Responsibilities

  • Document the clients' business needs in the form of user stories.
  • Conduct grooming sessions with full team (users, developers, DBAs, needed IT partners, etc.) with some assistance.
  • Define, implement and verify test cases to be used in regression testing.
  • Review and verify system enhancements with some oversight.
  • Create defect and enhancement items to be added to the backlog.
  • Assist in the triage and/or resolution of production issues.
  • Respond to questions from business and IT teams.
  • Assist the development/QA team by ensuring automated testing meets expected results.
  • Perform basic data analysis.
  • Perform gap analysis to identify possible enhancements to existing system functionalities.
