About The Position

The Summer Intern - Gene Therapy position at Insmed Incorporated offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Requirements

  • Currently in full-time pursuit of a Bachelor's, Master's, or advanced level degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology or related field
  • High level understanding of molecular biology techniques, recombinant DNA technology, bacterial and mammalian cell culture, and protein characterization techniques
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace

Responsibilities

  • Participate in designing, cloning, and producing novel AAV gene therapy candidates using a broad range of molecular biology and tissue culture techniques
  • Contribute to evaluating AAV gene therapy candidate properties and function using in vitro assays
  • Assist in the development and execution of cell-based biological potency assays
  • Analyze and interpret experimental data
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members on research and development initiatives
  • Present findings and progress updates to the team
