Webster Bank is offering an exciting internship opportunity for high-performing students entering their junior or senior year of undergraduate studies. This internship program is designed to provide real-world work experience, allowing interns to work alongside Webster/HSA colleagues and gain valuable skills and knowledge. The program aims to create a pipeline of candidates for future leadership roles within the bank. Interns will experience a summer filled with learning, networking, and fun, while gaining exposure to various corporate functions and mentorship opportunities. The internship will run from June 2 to August 8, 2025, and is focused on the role of a Front End Developer Intern.

  • Use markup languages like HTML to create user-friendly web pages
  • Maintain and improve assigned digital applications
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability
  • Solicit and incorporate feedback from business colleagues
  • Write functional requirement documents and guides as needed
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes as required
  • Help back-end developers with coding and trouble-shooting
  • Current undergraduate rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Pursuing a degree in a related field with an interest in the banking/financial services industry
  • Proficiency in Front End development languages such as JavaScript, Angular, React, etc.
  • Working knowledge of source code management tools such as GitLab, GitHub
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle methodologies such as Agile Scrum, SAFe Agile, and Waterfall
  • Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
  • Resourceful, enthusiastic, and proactive
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Experience creating and delivering presentations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Collaborative and inclusive team player
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
