About The Position

This internship offers hands-on experience in Corporate Accounting with a focus on Fixed Asset Accounting. As an intern, you will work directly with accounting staff to support the classification of project expenditures, assist in maintaining fixed asset records, and participate in the review of work-in-progress to completed construction transfers. You will gain practical exposure to how accounting principles are applied to large-scale capital projects and how financial information supports lease, cost-recovery, and investment reporting. Through this role, you will develop an understanding of the agency’s financial systems, learn how fixed assets are tracked and reported, and contribute to real-time accounting activities that support the Port Authority’s capital program and operational decision-making.

Requirements

• Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
• Major in Accounting or related discipline
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel
