During the 10-week program, the engineering intern will work with our team in warehouse automation and efficiency improvements. The intern will also learn day-to-day operations, industry skills and overall comprehension of the business to ultimately enhance our value to customers.

Requirements

• Current collegiate Junior or Senior in pursuit of Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Manufacturing, Logistics or related field with anticipated graduation by June 2026.
• In academic good standing with a grade point average of at least 3.0.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Experience with analytical tools such as flow charts, Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, run charts, etc.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present information and data in an organized, concise, and audience appropriate manner.
• Detail-oriented and organized.
• High degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma Principles
• Leadership and/or people management experience in collegiate programs and activities, or in previous/current employment.
• Ability to use data to understand problems, identify potential solutions, and suggest the solution that's most likely to have the desired impact.
• Communicate and build relationships with others that contribute to the efficiency of the team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct production time studies, head count analyses, downtime analyses, efficiency improvement plans, warehouse slotting and SKU velocity analyses, etc.
• Perform value stream mapping, process improvements and standardization
• Optimize layouts of workcells and storage bin locations
• Develop and manage 5S and CI projects
• Participate and/or lead projects with key partners and peer interns by creating and developing project plans, determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones, and risks.
