About The Position

As a member of our team, your primary role will be to provide support for the Resident Engineering team and Program Management teams with Manufacturing, Production, and Customer Engineering support within the Car Audio Division. In this role, you will report to the Customer Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have taken courses in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders and external teams
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Analytical and exhibiting excellent judgment skills
  • Well organized with the ability to prioritize
  • Self-motivation and discipline
  • Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan
  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work
  • Be willing to travel to customer site in Saline, MI as necessary
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Interest or experience in the audio or automotive industry
  • Knowledge or familiarity with electrical and mechanical products including PCBAs, electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams
  • Experience working in university project teams
  • Leadership Experience

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside an Electrical Resident Engineering Mentor and other Mechanical Resident Engineers, Project Managers, as well as Hardware and Software engineering teams
  • Testing and Validation activities on Bench set ups for Harman Amplifiers and Speakers
  • Support Program Managers with day-to-day program activities as needed
  • Update and verify audio amplifier software
  • Assist in Engineering problem solving activities
  • Assist in preparation of customer documentation
  • Visit customer sites to support vehicle system checks and reflash activities
  • Perform quality checks of amplifiers and speakers prior to customer shipment
