About The Position

HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to oversee the demand planning and inbound material activities within HARMAN Lifestyle Consumer Audio. You will lead the analysis of related data to manage overall inventory levels in a manner consistent with high-level customer service initiatives and the business financial plan.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
• Degree must be in related area of work with courses in Supply Chain
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
• Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous entry level work experience strongly preferred
• Work experience with the large retailers is a plus (BBY, Target, etc.)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP/IBP/APO
• Strong analytical skills, experience working with large volume of data and performing quantitative analysis

Responsibilities

• Execute scenario planning for current and long-term forecasts required to drive production and inventory planning
• Implement and analyze forecast to include key factors such as historical sales, promotion planning, customer sell through, etc.
• Proactively alert sales and supply team on changes in Key Account buying patterns by SKU, changes in assortment, to maximize delivery of sales
• Lead excess and obsolesces prevention reviews and analyze variances of forecasted items quarterly
• Maintain master data for Consumer Audio products in North America
