About The Position

The Data Analyst Intern specifically supports data management teams by performing routine tasks such as data entry, data cleaning, and basic analysis. As a summer Intern, we will provide you with a real-world experience on exciting projects, connections with recent college graduates and our company leaders, and performance of assignments under the direct supervision of a department lead. Your essential functions include, but are not limited to: Data Cleanup, Data Validation, Data Entry, Reporting, Collaboration, and Documentation.

Requirements

  • Experience using Excel to analyze data and identify anomalies.
  • Ability to work as an individual contributor with successful task completion.
  • Must be currently enrolled fulltime in an undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Must have at least 30 credit hours complete.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in data.
  • Problem-solving and strategic critical thinking abilities.
  • Collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data cleaning and data mining.
  • Preferred Majors: Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics.
  • Advanced knowledge and use of spreadsheets for data mining and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and correct inaccuracies, duplicates, and inconsistencies in customer contact data.
  • Verify the accuracy of data entries and update records as necessary.
  • Assist in entering new customer contact information into the database.
  • Generate reports on data quality and provide insights on areas for improvement.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data cleanup processes and procedures.
