About The Position

This program is designed to foster a beneficial relationship and provide growth opportunities for Vizient, our employees, and collegiate students. Since 2000, our summer intern program has provided college undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students with practical experience that exposes them to multiple aspects of a career field and the healthcare industry. This full-time, paid intern program offers an opportunity to accelerate academic learning, apply classroom knowledge, and introduce students to a professional setting. Interns are assigned a supervisor to mentor/develop their business skills, as well as monitor their work experiences. Interns are integral members of the company’s team, setting goals, working toward deadlines, and actively participating in community service projects. The program requires the intern to commit to 10 weeks of participation in all formal training, mentoring, on-the-job learning, and opportunities to interact with senior leaders. Program starts June 1, 2026 and ends August 7, 2026, 40 hours per week with a pay rate of $24 per hour.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a four-year accredited college, university, or graduate program in good academic standing.
  • Must have completed the sophomore year as an undergraduate before the start of the internship, or have recently completed your degree.
  • Basic understanding of working in a hybrid environment, workplace ethics, and effective communication.
  • Good organization and planning skills, and demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation based on past work or school experiences.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to analyze and synthesize information for problem-solving are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting across the team and potentially with internal Vizient business partners, external members, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintaining the stability of IAM platforms via projects/initiatives.
  • Support user access reviews, annual standard operating procedure (SOP) analysis, and contribute to developing mitigation strategies for IAM-related risks.
  • Participate in the deployment and support of multi-factor authentication (MFA), single sign-on (SSO), and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve IAM policies, role-based access controls (RBAC), and least privilege practices.
  • Research and evaluate emerging IAM trends and best practices.
