About The Position

About this position Encore seeks a highly motivated individual with the skills and attitude to successfully support Encore’s preconstruction and construction work across the company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience with a leading solar and energy storage developer that's also a B Corp, a company committed to triple bottom line outcomes and using business as a force for good. This position will work alongside our Preconstruction and Construction team to support the management of various project activities, from engineering design to construction, while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, contributing to projects that reinforce Encore’s reputation as a trusted, values-driven organization. This is a full time, 40 hours/week, internship will run from Tuesday, May 26 through Friday, August 14. Application will close 2/3/2026 at 11:59 pm.

Requirements

  • Passion for renewable energy and/or environmental issues
  • Demonstrated experience and/or education in the fields of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental Engineering, Math, Chemistry, Biology or other quantitative fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diligent, detailed oriented, and dynamic.
  • A high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to self-organize priorities, set and work to deadlines, often with limited direct oversight.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic technical knowledge in solar and energy storage technologies, construction, or engineering preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office required, proficiency in project management software preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily management and coordination of solar construction projects, working with project managers, engineers, and EPC contractors to ensure project timelines, budgets, and specifications are met
  • Support management of record keeping such as project schedules, project documentation, engineering designs, requests for information (RFIs), and equipment submittals
  • Shadow senior team members during site visits to gain exposure to safety and permit compliance, engineering design quality assurance, and subcontractor management
  • Prepare and review construction reports to ensure accurate reporting of schedule forecasts, construction progress and budgets; provide updates on identified discrepancies to project managers
  • Assist in developing workflow documentation and provide recommendations to existing workflows and templates
  • Support diligence on project opportunities and project pipeline
  • Collaborate with project team members from development, engineering, procurement, finance, and asset management
  • Perform other duties as required.
