About The Position

The Bioanalytics department has an 8-12 week project suited for a summer intern to aid in the implementation of analytical methods. The intern will be trained on using analytical instruments/software and in the analytical methods, that will include handling and use of human derived reagents and plasma derived manufacturing process intermediates. The intern will prepare reagents, buffers, controls, and samples to execute experiments. The intern will collect and analyze data, generate data summary tables and assist in drafting summary tables and/or report(s). The intern will prepare a presentation that summarizes their work at the conclusion of their internship.

Requirements

  • Currently a rising junior or senior or graduate student with a GPA of at 3.0 pursuing a degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Immunology, or similar scientific field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to perform laboratory searches, read laboratory procedures, and document work in a laboratory notebook.
  • Proficiency in laboratory skills including pipetting, use of balance, pH meter, volumetric glassware, making solutions and laboratory safety awareness.
  • Familiarity with 96 well plates and plate readers is a plus.
