About The Position

As an Intern in the Pre-Development group, you will contribute to the continuation and strengthening of our partnerships with our Japanese OEM branded audio customers. This role will leverage your knowledge of artificial intelligence modeling and data analytics. You will collaborate with various teams to analyze past quality history data and support training predictive models for quality improvement initiatives. In this role, you will report to the Director of Pre-Development.

Requirements

  • A thorough understanding of enterprise level artificial intelligence, model training, data security, and data analytics.
  • The ability to work with ambiguity and think creatively to determine the best approach to solving complex problems.
  • 1-2 years working with AI modeling and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to work with teams distributed throughout the globe,
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA
  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan (hybrid work supported, full remote possible for the right candidate).
  • Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
  • Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the automotive engineering industry
  • Understanding of mass production manufacturing and quality management systems
  • Knowledge of software quality management systems
  • Knowledge of hardware systems
  • A passion for high fidelity audio

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of predictive modeling for quality improvement based on past quality history data from development to production warranty claims.
  • Act as the point person on determining what metrics should be added or adjusted for current developments to enable better data collection and analytics.
  • Work with cross-functional teams throughout the globe to gather information from multiple Car Audio projects to develop a robust dataset.
  • Actively provide support in the quality improvement for multiple branded audio platforms.
