About The Position

Mesirow is an independent, employee-owned financial services firm founded in 1937. Headquartered in Chicago, with offices across the country, Mesirow serves clients through capabilities spanning Private Capital & Currency, Capital Markets and Investment Banking, and Advisory Services. The Mesirow Summer Internship Program provides students with the real-world skills to successfully transition into a career in the financial services industry. Interns obtain an inside view of their host departments by working alongside professionals for nine weeks while simultaneously gaining exposure to Mesirow's diverse products and services through job shadowing and educational luncheons. The program helps interns define their career goals while contributing in meaningful ways to the growth and progress of the company.

Requirements

• Academic strength with a minimum GPA of 3.4
• Students in the classes of 2027
• Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

• Work alongside professionals in the Wealth Management department
• Participate in job shadowing and educational luncheons
• Engage in project-based work
• Network with all levels of business
