About The Position
Steampunk is seeking an Accounting and Finance Intern. Tasks will be closely aligned with accounting & finance, but could also be associated with assisting our companies sectors and projects. As a Steampunk Accounting & Finance Intern your daily responsibilities will vary by project, but you can expect to: Assist in various accounting activities such as Accounts Payables, Expense Reporting, Accounts Receivables and preparing journal entries Assist with finance activities such as forecasting, monthly results & reporting Continually experience new and engaging opportunities, challenging work, flexibility, career sponsorship and mentoring, and recognition for your contributions Develop accounting and finance acumen which will make a positive impact on the company Steampunk is a Change Agent in the Federal contracting industry, bringing new thinking to clients in the Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health and DoD sectors. Requirements
- Rising college junior, rising senior or current senior
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Desire to continuously learn
- Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills
- Excellent team-building and collaboration skills with cross-function teams
- Ability to learn new skills, tools and technology
- Resourceful in overcoming obstacles
- Understanding basic accounting and corporate finance
- Experience with Excel, Word and Power-Point
- Local to the DMV area
Responsibilities
