  • Comply with all federal and state environmental, health and safety regulations as well as any safety policies and protocols outlined by the company.
  • Observe fabrication of lathe products alongside a certified CNC Lathe Operator using customer or GT drawings observations can include set up, troubleshooting and run.
  • Monitor Lathe Machining Operations during production runs. Monitoring can include collecting parts and doing part counts.
  • Learn and understand operation of all Standard Measuring Instruments, QMM, OGP and Optical Comparator.
  • Perform all duties assigned by supervisor including active participation in team meetings for operational planning and improvement ideas.
  • Learn and understand drawings and inspection sheets
  • Learn and perform required basic equipment maintenance (top off or adding fluid/oil, reposition water and air lines) for all equipment assigned to the area.
  • Perform all miscellaneous duties in work area as required.
  • Perform job in compliance with Company’s Quality Policy (ISO 9000 and AS9100).
  • Maintain part Quality Standards.
  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must be currently enrolled in a secondary education
  • Must be proficient with operating a workstation computer including searching, saving and editing files.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently read and interpret production drawings, work instructions, Company documents and other specified requirements essential for performing standard job functions
  • Ability to work for long periods in a standing position.
  • Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring sitting and walking.
  • Ability to occasionally work in positions requiring twisting, stooping and grasping.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 55 lbs. without the use of mechanical lifting devices or help from others.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as eye protection and foot protection.
  • Perform job in a safe manner.
  • This position requires U.S. Person status as defined by applicable law for authorized access to data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
