About The Position

Join our team as a Summer Fun Program Worker, where you'll help create an exciting and engaging summer experience for elementary students! Responsibilities include leading games, crafts, and outdoor activities, supervising field trips, and ensuring a safe and positive environment for all participants. Ideal candidates are energetic, responsible, and enjoy working with children. Heights Christian Schools (HCS ) is a 5013 ministry that owns and operates several Christian schools in Southern California. The primary objective of our schools is to bring about the total education of the student spiritually, academically, morally, mentally, socially, and physically. Tasks and Responsibilities Give full attention to the assigned group of children, and be responsible for their safety and well-being. Attend, participate and assist in chapels, assemblies, staff meetings and training programs as deemed necessary by the supervisor. Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents, or staff. Reinforce and encourage positive character qualities in the children. Assist in the communication and enforcement of behavioral guidelines in a fair, consistent, and positive manner. Act in accordance with daily routines, being accountable for promptness and preparedness. Supervise the play area, and guide children into safe play activities on or off campus. Carefully observe student behavior while on or off campus. Notify lead or Supervisor about any repeated misbehavior or serious problems. Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations on or off campus. Conduct required emergency safety drills in coordination with school leadership. Recognize the need for good public relations. Represent the school in a favorable and professional manner to the school's constituency and the general public. Complete duties effectively and promptly. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the administration.
