About The Position
New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to fill the seasonal role of Summer Day Camp Food Explorer Specialist. In this role, you will be critical to the successful operation of the Summer Day Camp program. Specialists are responsible for leading Summer activities for children and teens at New York Edge program sites.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be 18 years old
Nice To Haves
- Preferred Degree in or currently studying Nutrition, Public Health, and/or subject that applies.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships with and among students
- Teach or co-lead daily activities
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate those objectives to students
- Instruct participants on the activities' principles, techniques, and safety procedures and show them how to use materials and equipment properly.
- Other Duties as assigned by supervisor
