About The Position

Rally Point Management, LLC has an Engineering/Computer Scientist Intern vacancy to fill in Sunny Northwest Florida for Summer 2026. You can live in the spectacular area of Destin and Ft. Walton Beach, while supporting Eglin Air Force Base Electronic Warfare (EW) missions. This exciting work supports the United States Air Force and Allied Nations Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities. The organizational mission is to program, test, and field operational EW mission data software installed on fighter aircraft, bomber aircraft, Information, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft, and Combat, Search and Rescue (CSAR) aircraft for both US and Allied aircraft platforms. The EW capabilities enable operational aircrews to detect, identify, and counter adversary threat radar systems during routine, urgent and emergency operations. Functional Areas of Responsibility: The candidate will provide support and assistance in the following areas. Develop and sustain Mission Data (MD) software solutions for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partner nations. Design, code, and maintain specialized tools to process electronic intelligence and create EW threat libraries. Write, test, and document high-quality, reusable code for data reduction, test automation, and secure data management systems. Participate in all stages of software development, including design, coding, code review, testing, bug-fixing, and documentation. Participate in an agile development team, turning FMS customer requirements into software features and bug fixes. Provide technical software support during the test and evaluation of allied EW systems, assisting with MD programming and validation. Collaborate directly with 68 EWS engineers to advise on FMS program activities and ensure software meets operational needs. Develop, test, and maintain high-quality, reusable, and reliable code for both backend services using .NET 8+ and C# and responsive user interfaces using WPF/XAML or Angular 18+, Tailwind CSS, and HTML/TypeScript/CSS, while managing data persistence with modern, NoSQL document databases. Work within a secure environment, adhering to all DoD and Air Force directives for secure software development

Requirements

  • Full-time, Junior year engineering or computer science student, enrolled in a four-year college or university.
  • Maintain a minimum of a 3.0 out of 4.0 overall grade point average.
  • Broad technical background in areas such as CAD design systems, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, programming, and/or electro-mechanical design and control system development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • No criminal record or adverse background which would prevent eligibility for gaining a Department of Defense Security Clearance.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time and without restriction during your internship on Eglin AFB FL.
