About The Position
The St. Louis Aquarium Foundation is seeking enthusiastic, upbeat, conservation enthusiasts to join our team as an Educator this summer! Responsibilities include preparing and implementing summer camp programs, supervising youth ages 7-12, and supporting Education Outreach team members.
Requirements
- 1 or more years of college with majoring in a related science or education field
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with youth
- Responsibly supervise youth ensuring their safety and creating a positive experience for all
- Detail-oriented, with strong presentation and communication skills
- Capable of being a role model for youth and facilitating a positive educational experience for all
- Ability to adapt and maintain flexibility in changing environments
- Help maintain a positive work environment and work cooperatively and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Outlook, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Requires periods of standing and walking, sometimes outdoors; lifting objects; limited periods of time at desk on computer
- Requires the ability to work effectively, comfortably and respectfully with all ages and a variety of backgrounds, races, and nationalities

- Passion for conservation and marine biology is a plus!
