The Summer Educator at Walking Mountains has the unique opportunity to be part of a close-knit community of graduate students, naturalists, and sustainability interns, who all live together in Walking Mountain’s net-zero housing, which is provided as part of this position. The Summer Educator co-teaches our week-long day camps, overnight hut trips, and two-day Earth Explorers camps, which aim to create positive outdoor experiences and connect youth to nature while learning about fun natural science themes! The Summer Educator completes 12 days of staff training prior to the start of camp: May 26th - All New Seasonal Staff Intro Day and Driver Training Off May 27th and 28th - Use these days to explore and get settled in May 29th - Summer Training Intro Day and HR Onboarding June 1st-5th - Summer Training Week 1 June 8th-12th - Summer Training Week 2 The Summer Educator reports to the Senior Manager of Youth Programs and is part of the Youth Programs Department.
