Ideal candidates will be in the final year of their PhD and will be on the job market during the winter of 2026/2027. About the Role: Summer Economists play an integral role on case teams, contributing to all phases of complex economic consulting engagements. Working closely with case teams, Summer Economists apply economic theory, quantitative methods, and data analysis to address antitrust and competition matters. Summer Economists may assist in case work including: Identifying and analyzing key economic issues in antitrust cases Supporting the formulation of case strategy Applying academic research to economic analyses Conducting quantitative and qualitative research Formulating, developing, and implementing economic and econometric models Managing and analyzing large datasets using statistical software such as SAS, Stata, R, Python, or MATLAB Collaborating closely with case teams Supporting senior staff in all aspects of case development and execution
