About The Position

The Summer Day Camp Counselor position is a seasonal, part-time role focused on providing a safe and engaging environment for elementary school-aged children during summer camp. Counselors will be responsible for mentoring and guiding campers, ensuring their well-being, and facilitating fun and educational activities throughout the day.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required; some post-secondary training is highly preferred.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday during the summer months.
• Dependable transportation is required.
• Ability to earn mandatory CPR/First Aid certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is greatly valued.
• Experience working with youth for at least 1 year is preferred.
• Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with elementary school-aged children during camp activities.
• Plan and implement fun and educational activities for campers.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
• Exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith.
• Maintain a positive and encouraging environment for campers.
