About The Position
Position Summary: Lead structured dance camp activities, teach proper dance technique, ensure safety of dancers and oversee Lunch Bunch.
Requirements
- Must have previous experience teaching dance to youth/adults
- Must be able to structure and design a class suitable for their audience
- Must be enthusiastic and engaging
- Must have the ability to interact well with children
Responsibilities
- Deliver a fun, creative and energetic dance class to students
- Ability to explain choreography and terminology to their audience in a way that is understood
- Run organized games, story time and assist children with daily crafts
- Clean up after snack
- Walk children to the bathroom
- Monitor the lunch hour
- Complete Child Abuse Prevention training annually
- Required to report any suspected cases of child abuse immediately to supervisor.
