Summer Dance Camp Counselor
About The Position
The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago, provides parks, recreation facilities and programs to meet our mission of enriching lives while having fun. As Dance Camp Counselor, you'll instruct, assist, and supervise students in various dance programs along with end of session performances and/or recitals. You will also be tasked with: Monitoring safety of program participants. Keeping parents informed of program activities using department correspondence. Implementing lesson plans that foster participants’ skills, learning and enthusiasm.
Requirements
- Training in dance and 1-3 years of experience.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
Responsibilities
- Instruct, assist, and supervise students in various dance programs along with end of session performances and/or recitals.

- Keep parents informed of program activities using department correspondence.
- Implement lesson plans that foster participants’ skills, learning and enthusiasm.
