About The Position

The Washington, D.C. office represents SRP at the federal level and advocates on a wide array of issues important to SRP and its customers and shareholders.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in at least junior or senior year of undergraduate studies. Open to graduate students as well.
  • Cumulative GPA is 3.0 or above.
  • Interest in learning about energy and water-related issues and their corresponding policy challenges and solutions.
  • Highly motivated and results oriented with a desire to exceed expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and quick learner.
  • Ability to work independently in an office setting.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Photoshop training is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Congressional hearings and report out your key takeaways.
  • Research Federal legislation and produce written summaries and reports.
  • Monitor media stories.
  • Produce written summaries and reports.
  • Assist with event planning and support.
  • Assist with administrative support and other office duties.
