About The Position
The Mayor's Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor's expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities. The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and Transit Task Force develops, monitors, and maintains the budgets for DEP, Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), as well as the City's contribution to the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA). This taskforce addresses issues pertaining to upstate watershed agreements, wastewater treatment, transit service subsidies, and regulation of the City's taxicabs and for-hire vehicles.
