About the position

Are you a nursing student looking for a summer CNA job? We have the perfect position for you - a temporary job in a learning environment. This is a 10+ week summer position; mid-May thru mid-August. If you want to stay with us as a PRN employee after 8/02/25, you can. You’ll then be expected to pick up shifts during your future holiday or semester breaks. As an RN or LPN Student Nurse, this would be an excellent opportunity to work in a learning environment. Sharpen your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) skills while working side by side with some talented nurses and clinicians. Residents do NOT require skilled care, therefore your CNA job is a little different here: Residents are more independent. LOVE patient interaction and one-on-one time? This is a slower paced center so you get to know your patients. This environment has less lifting and less physical demands on your body. You will have the chance to assist and attend activity outings with residents. You may help residents with things like choosing clothing or setting appointments. Overall you will provide compassionate care monitoring to this unique population.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - specifically for the state of IL.
  • Currently enrolled in a Nurse Education Program (Associates or Bachelor’s level).
  • Ability to remain calm and smile during challenging situations.
  • Must start on or before 5/21/25 and commit to stay thru 8/02/25 (10 weeks).
