Summer CNA - jobs for Nursing Students

About the position

Are you a nursing student looking for a summer CNA job? We have the perfect position for you - a temporary job in a learning environment. This is a 10+ week summer position; mid-May thru mid-August. If you want to stay with us as a PRN employee after 8/02/25, you can. You’ll then be expected to pick up shifts during your future holiday or semester breaks. Frankfort Terrace is an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF), providing care to the mentally ill/behavior health population (schizophrenic, bipolar, major depression…). Located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful grounds, trees and flowers – you can ride your bike to work. Agency Free and our DON has been with us since 2016! We offer on-site Physical & Occupational Therapy (unique for an ICF) This is not a SNF - Our patients are active and eager to connect with you. Responsibilities

• Sharpen your Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) skills while working side by side with some talented nurses and clinicians.
• Provide care to the mentally ill/behavior health population.
• Engage with patients in recreational activities.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification - specifically for the state of IL.
• Currently enrolled in a Nurse Education Program (Associates or Bachelor’s level).
• Ability to remain calm and smile during challenging situations.
• Must start on or before 5/22/25 and commit to stay thru 8/02/25 (10 weeks).

Nice-to-haves

• Interest in working in a behavioral health setting.
• Desire to learn and grow in a clinical environment.

Benefits

• $22-$26.25 salary based on experience.
• $500 completion bonus for staying thru 8/02/25.
