About The Position

The Conference & Events Summer Camps Housing Assistant is a regular student technical position at UCO which plays a critical role in supporting the planning and execution of summer conferences and events at our organization. The assistant will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests and assisting with logistics, communication, and overall guest experience. This is a temporary position, lasting approximately 10-12 weeks during the summer. The position is a student staff live-in position.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled at least half-time for fall/spring semesters to be eligible to work any UCO student position.
• Must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours to work during the summer.
• International students must be enrolled full-time to be eligible to work as a student employee.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in customer service, hospitality, or event planning is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for guests, providing information, directions, and support as needed throughout their stay.
• Assist with guest check-in and check-out processes, including room assignments, key distribution, and billing.
• Monitor guest behavior and ensure compliance with policies and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all guests.
• Collaborate with the Conference & Events team to ensure seamless execution of events, including room set-up, audiovisual support, and catering services.
• Provide timely and effective communication with guests, staff, and vendors to ensure successful event planning and execution.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, common areas, and event spaces.
• Participate in required training sessions and team meetings and attend to other duties as assigned by the Conference & Events management team.
