Position: The primary focus of an Summer Camp STEAM Instructor will be to teach Snapology programs at our summer camp sites all around the King of Prussia region, particularly the northeast area. Summer Camp STEAM Instructor are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. Our summer camp programs are conducted for children ages 5-12. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.

Requirements

  • Federal clearance and PA State Criminal and Child Abuse Clearances must be current (within 3 years) and cleared to work with children, or must be self-reported as clear and then officially obtained within 30 days of job offer.
  • Experience leading children in a classroom or camp environment
  • College students currently pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position, regardless of experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally in English
  • Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis
  • Programs: Summer camp June 15 - August 14, 2026. Must be available for the two weeks in August.
  • Candidates must provide any vacation weeks needed prior to job offer, or they cannot be guaranteed.
  • Half day and full day camp options to complement your schedule, Monday - Friday, with hours varying within the 9a-4p timeframe.
  • All summer staff is part time, with hours varying from week to week.
  • This position is part-time.
  • Depending on candidate and program availability each week, Summer Camp STEAM Instructor typically work between 12-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of students through curriculum-guided activities.
  • Complete curriculum and all supplies provided.
  • Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
  • Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies
  • Adequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face-to-face training sessions
  • Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
  • Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
  • Participate in Snapology training meetings
