About The Position

We’re looking for energetic and positive teachers to help lead camp sessions during our WSU Tech STEM summer camps this July at the National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). These camps engage elementary and middle school students in hands-on STEM activities that spark curiosity and build confidence in young learners. Session Teachers will be provided with activity materials and instructions prior to sessions beginning each day. Group leaders will be assigned to supervise students — your role is to teach the activity and inspire our next generation of innovators and problem-solvers! Camp schedule: Week 1 Grit & Gears (3rd–5th grade) – Tuesday, July 14 Girls Rock Science (3rd–5th grade) – Wednesday & Thursday, July 15–16 Week 2 Grit & Gears (6th–8th grade) – Tuesday, July 21 Girls Rock Science (6th–8th grade) – Wednesday & Thursday, July 22–23 Location: National Center for Aviation Training; 4004 N Webb Rd, Wichita KS 67226 Time: 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM Compensation: $250 per day

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working as a teacher
  • Must be able to pass a background check prior to camp participation
  • Must be able to work minimum 1 full week of camp
