About The Position

Love being outdoors? Like working with kids? Want a summer job that’s fun and meaningful? Camp Is-Sho-Da is hiring awesome people to join our summer team! You’ll help create unforgettable experiences for Girl Scouts while building leadership skills, making friends, and spending your days outside. About the job: Lifeguards are responsible for the safety of everyone at the waterfront for all swimming and boating activities. Lifeguards must work with each other and the Aquatics Director to plan fun and engaging activities. Must be 16 years of age and have completed at least 10th grade by the end of June. Girl Scouts create the world they want to live in and strive to make it better every single day. We help build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Camp Is-Sho-Da is located on 100 acres of fields and woods in East Greenbush, NY. Camp Is-Sho-Da is a great option to enjoy all the best of camp for children in kindergarten through grade 12. With hiking trails, a five-acre pond for water activities, a large playfield and facilities for nature study and artmaking, there is always something fun to do. Rustic screened enclosed shelters, platform tents, and covered wagons offer a variety of options for camping. Camp Is-Sho-Da operates primarily as a day camp, with an overnight experience every Wednesday, providing variety while maintaining a predictable schedule.
