About The Position

Kateri Day Camp offers exceptional pay and a fun, outdoor work environment! Working at Kateri Day Camp will give you hands-on experience managing a diverse group of children, developing creative activities and lessons, and growing your understanding of young people. Kateri Day Camp is a non-profit summer camp that provides over 200 children from low-income families, ages 5-15, and a safe, wholesome summer camp experience. Daily activities include swim lessons, hikes, nature, games, sports, arts & crafts, literacy, science, and many special events. Summer Camp Group Counselors – Responsible for supervising groups of campers ages 5-13. Must be creative, energetic, responsible and respectful. Candidates must be able to engage children in a variety of activities and have a love of children, teaching, and the outdoors. Must be at least 18 years of age and have experience working with children. Pay: $17.00 per hour Qualifications: Must have a sincere desire to work with children. Must be able to work the entire summer and attend mandatory training. Must be hardworking, diligent, energetic, respectful, and responsible. Must love being outdoors. Must be 18 years old 2025 Camp dates: June 22- August 8 (closed July 4th), Monday-Friday from 8:30-3:30. Must be present all days of camp. No vacation days. Mandatory training dates: June 13-June 20th. First Aid and CPR certifications are required for all summer staff. We will provide training, as part of our staff training, if they are not already certified.
