About The Position

Snapology is hiring Summer Camp Facilitators to lead hands-on STEM camps and programs for children ages 5–14. Facilitators guide students through engaging activities using LEGO® Bricks, LEGO® Technic building, and robotics kits. Most programs take place on weekdays during typical camp hours and may be hosted at partner locations such as schools, camps, and community organizations throughout the Lancaster County area. This is a great role for teachers, education majors, and college students who enjoy working with kids and want a structured, weekday position that builds teaching and leadership experience. Program Locations Programs are hosted at a variety of locations, which may include: Snapology (Lancaster area) and partner sites such as schools, camps, and community organizations Locations are scheduled and communicated in advance Schedule and Hours Monday to Friday Typical program hours fall between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (exact schedule varies by site and program) Part-time, 20 to 38 hours per week (based on enrollment and scheduled programs) Pay $16 to $19 per hour, based on qualifications and experience What You Will Do Facilitate hands-on STEM activities for children ages 5–14 Lead groups of 10 or more students in a structured setting Deliver Snapology curriculum (no lesson planning or grading required) Support positive behavior and create an encouraging learning environment Set up, manage, and pack up materials for each program day Communicate with staff regarding student progress, needs, and daily updates What Makes This a Good Fit for Teachers and College Students Gain classroom-aligned experience in facilitation and group management Practice instructional delivery using a provided curriculum and materials Build leadership, communication, and behavior support skills Work a consistent weekday schedule during the summer Join a supportive team with training and ongoing guidance

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a structured setting (camp, classroom, childcare, coaching, etc.)
  • Comfortable managing groups of 10+ children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable transportation to arrive at assigned program sites on time
  • Ability to pass background checks and child abuse clearances
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds and stay active throughout the day

Nice To Haves

  • Education, child development, or related coursework/experience
  • Experience with LEGO® Bricks building, LEGO® Technic building, or LEGO® robotics kits (helpful but not required)
  • Experience facilitating activities, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or teaching
