About The Position

Bristol Township is hiring energetic and responsible staff to support our Summer Camp Program. We are seeking Camp Counselors and Lead Counselors who are committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for children in grades 1–5. The Bristol Township Summer Camp offers a fun, safe, and engaging program for children during the summer months. Campers participate in a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to keep them active, social, and engaged throughout the day. Programs may include games, sports, crafts, special events, and themed activities. Summer Camp Dates: June 22, 2026 - August 7, 2026 Camp will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026. Training Dates: TBD - Training Dates for all Counselors will occur during the week of June 15th - 19th. Daily Schedule: Camp runs Monday - Friday. Shifts include: 7am - 3:30pm; 8am - 4:30pm; 9am - 5:30pm. Counselors may be assigned to different shifts throughout the summer. Positions Available Lead Counselor The Lead Camp Counselor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of one of the four classroom group and set the daily experience for campers. As the Lead Counselor for your classroom, you will support and guide classroom counselors and ensure children are safe, engaged, and included in all programs and activities. Camp Counselor The Camp Counselor supports the daily camp experience by working directly with children in a classroom group. As a Camp Counselor, you will lead activities, engage positively with campers, and help ensure all children feel safe, included, and supported throughout the day. Expectations for Safety and Inclusion All Bristol Township Summer Camp Staff are expected to: ensure children are safe and supervised at all times; promote respect, teamwork, and kindness with other staff and campers; intervene early when behavior issues arise; ensure every child feels safe, included, and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities and routines for your classroom.
  • Create a structured, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Lead, support, and guide counselors assigned to your group.
  • Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that are engaging and inclusive.
  • Actively supervise campers at all times.
  • Address behavior concerns using positive and respectful strategies.
  • Communicate concerns or needs to the Camp Director or Camp Coordinator.
  • Actively supervise children at all times.
  • Lead and assist with games, crafts, and activities.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment.
  • Support positive behavior and address conflicts calmly.
  • Follow directions from Lead Counselors and supervisors.
  • Assist with transitions, clean-up, and daily routines.
