About The Position

This is work in recreation program planning and organizing in the Parks and Recreation Department of Provo City Corporation. There will be one lead camp counselor, and 3 additional camp counselors hired to fill these positions.

Requirements

• Must meet the minimum qualifications listed in the job description.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions and handle high stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise recreation activities associated with the Summer Day Camp program.
• Supervise youth attending the camp.
• Operate within the guidelines of budgets.
• Ensure adherence to operational policies and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain reports, records, and equipment inventory.
• Explain and enforce rules and regulations.
• Assist other staff members and the public as needed and perform other related duties as assigned.
