About The Position
The Summer Camp Counselor position involves leading and participating in leisure activities, arts and crafts, games, and sports for youth ages 8-12. Counselors are responsible for preparing recreational facilities for participant use and monitoring activities to ensure safety and appropriateness. A wholesome environment must be maintained in and around the camp setting, and counselors are expected to complete any required reports promptly. There may be a requirement to operate a 12-passenger van to transport participants to and from field trips. Knowledge of playground and water safety, along with current CPR and First Aid certification, is a plus. Counselors will also perform other duties as required. The minimum age for applicants is 18.
