About The Position

As a Camp Counselor at Discovery Isle, you will create, manage, and participate in a variety of new adventures ensuring that our campers create unforgettable memories and develop valuable new skills. Camp Counselors collaborate professionally with other staff, parents, and outside vendors to promote the general well-being of the school, and the collective/individual interest of its staff and student body.

Requirements

• Must be 25 years of age or older to drive the bus for field trips.
• Twelve [12] or more Semester Units from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or Child Development is required.
• Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) is also acceptable.
• Ability to frequently carry and lift 25 pounds or less (25-50%) and occasionally carry 25-50 pounds (10-25%).
• Ability to successfully pass a state and federal background check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to connect with students.

• Work collaboratively with a talented team of diverse staff and administrators.
• Develop and maintain interpersonal relationships with the families, students, and community.
