About The Position

Purpose: The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for assisting the lead counselor in fun and engaging activities for children ages 6-13 at a summer camp. The counselor will be responsible for help planning and implementing activities that are both enjoyable and educational, and that align with the camp's curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead counselor in everything
• Help plan and lead fun and interactive activities that are age-appropriate and align with the camp's curriculum
• Prepare and set up materials before each activity
• Supervise and assist children during activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
• Encourage creativity, self-expression, and teamwork in the children
• Collaborate with other counselors and staff to ensure a fun and safe camp experience for the children
• Be a role model and leader for children, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment
• Be ready to have fun and be silly, children love it!
