Summer Camp Counselor - Temp Position
About The Position
Beginner's Edge Sports Training is searching for Camp Counselors for our Summer Break Sports Camps in Scottsdale Arizona. We run a multi-sport camp program where kids can exercise and gain exposure to a variety of sports and athletic activities. If you are an athlete, educator, just enjoy working with children this is a perfect fit for you. There is also a possibility for this position to convert to a permanent part-time position. Dates: May 26th - August 7th Ideal Candidates: Love working with children as much as they love all sports! BIG personalities Works well in a team setting Excellent communication skills Loud and energetic Well-rounded in sports Extremely reliable and punctual Looking for a part-time or seasonal position
Requirements
- Be able to commit to weekly schedules
- Be able to stand and walk for at least 1-hour increments
- Be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience teaching or youth coaching experience (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Implement curriculum-based activities for multiple sports, including but not limited to: Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, Track, Football, and Volleyball.
- Instruct sports-based activities
- Ensure activities are conducted in a safe and organized manner
- Maintain active supervision of groups up to 20 children
- Maintaining a clean and sanitary play area and facility
