Join our Health Department team as a Summer Business Clerk and play a key role in maintaining accurate, accessible records that support essential community health services. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, tech-savvy, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently on focused tasks like high-volume document scanning and digital file management. If you enjoy working with software applications, staying organized, and contributing to meaningful public service work — this is the role for you. ________________________________________ What You’ll Do As a Summer Business Clerk, you will support the Health Department and Nursing Services by helping modernize and maintain critical records systems. Your primary focus will be scanning, indexing, and organizing documents with precision and efficiency. The summer clerk will work primarily with the public health nursing clerical team and have opportunities to support other public health programs. The duties will include: • scanning and uploading documents into the electronic health record system, • preparing client folders with educational materials, • provide front desk coverage by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing clients to appropriate program locations in the building, • attend a weekly community outreach initiative This role requires the ability to work independently for extended periods while maintaining a high level of focus and productivity.
