Summer Basketball Jr. Associate / Associate Coach
About The Position
The Wiz Kids Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and positive Summer Camp Junior Associate who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and leading children through a variety of outdoor and indoor summertime activities. The Basketball Junior Associate is responsible for helping teach fundamental skills as well as more advanced strategy. While assisting the Basketball Head Coach, associates chaperone, supervise and guide campers through the day‐to-day activities of the overall camp experience including field trips. Develop and lead daily sport-specific drill and game components. Ensure the welfare of campers and positive resolution of camper related issues by communicating clearly and consistently with camp leadership staff. Willingness to comply with Suspected Child Abuse Reporting (Subsection (a)(6) of 325 ILCS 5-4). Additional duties as contracted.
Requirements
- Prior basketball playing or related experience at the high school and/or college level.
- Must be High school grad, current undergrad student or post grad student
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working in a camp environment is a plus.
