About The Position

Responsible for providing excellent guest service in the preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized bar area, managing bar inventory while on shift and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities. This role involves welcoming and greeting guests, interacting with them to make recommendations, taking orders, serving drinks, and providing a pleasant drinking experience. It also includes maintaining order and cleanliness in all bar areas while adhering to all health department and Loveland food and alcohol safety, service, and cleanliness standards. The bartender must verify guests’ identification and confirm their legal drinking status while complying with all state, local, and company alcohol service regulations. Other duties include accurately portioning alcoholic beverages, restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies, opening and maintaining guest tabs throughout the shift, accurately collecting and processing payment transactions, and completing all bar opening and closing duties, along with any other assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Education and/or Experience.
  • At least 1 year in high volume alcoholic beverage service establishment required.
  • Must have Colorado TIPS Alcohol Service Certification, ServSafe Alcohol Certification, or ability to obtain certification prior to first shift.
  • Thorough knowledge of craft beer, wine, mixed cocktails, beverage and food pairings and general bar operations.
  • Ability to count US currency and accurately complete payment transactions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures as found in typical kitchen environments.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Outdoor work may be required, i.e. loading/unloading delivery truck.
  • Ability to learn POS sales point systems and functions.
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English- speak and understand verbal and written communications.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
