About The Position

Crescent is seeking three (3) Summer Associates (approximately an 8-12 week temporary position) to join the team for Summer 2026 to create developments that cultivate communities with lasting legacies, with a focus on high-growth markets across the Southeast and Southwest. The Summer Associate positions will be in Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA. Interns will benefit from deep engagement in the real estate development and investment business, broad exposure to Crescent Communities’ people, workflows and properties and a culture that is highly collaborative, fun and focused on investment in its human talent. JOB SUMMARIES 1. Commercial Development and Capital Markets (Charlotte): This Summer Associate will assist the Commercial Development team in all aspects of the real estate development process, as well as assist the Capital Markets team with underwriting investment and capitalizing development projects in the debt/equity markets, reporting to a Director of Commercial Development. 2. Residential Development – BTR (Charlotte): This Summer Associate will assist the Single-Family Build-to-Rent (“BTR”) Development team in all aspects of the real estate development process, reporting to the Director of Development in the Charlotte office. 3. Residential Development – Multifamily (Atlanta): This Summer Associate will assist the Multifamily Development team in all aspects of the real estate development process, reporting to the Managing Director of Development in the Atlanta office. Requirements

  • Graduate students enrolled in an MBA or MRED program
  • Prior experience performing pro-forma financial modeling
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills
  • Proven project management and organizational skills
  • Collaborative style and team player
  • Proactive problem-solver who is capable of being productive with little direction

Nice To Haves

  • Some prior work experience with a real estate developer preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the development team in performing market, property, and financial due diligence
  • Researching and evaluating market trends to identify growth opportunities and provide formal recommendations for investment.
  • Participating in underwriting efforts and creating and maintaining pro-forma financial models
  • Preparing investment summary recommendations
  • Conducting feasibility analyses
  • Assisting with the entitlement process and coordination of product development, including architecture, land planning, and project design.
  • Presenting to internal and external stakeholders
