Seasonal Associate Job Summary Under general supervision, the seasonal associate uses knowledge and skills obtained through formal education and/or experience to work on specific projects within an assigned functional area. The seasonal associate follows established procedures to perform tasks and receives general guidance and direction to perform other work with substantial variety and varied complexity. Some judgment is required to adapt procedures, processes, and techniques to apply to more complex assignments. Routine contact with internal and external customers may be required to exchange basic information. This is a temporary role. Work Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need. Start Date: June 1, 2026 End Date: August 7, 2026

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a professional office environment.
  • Basic concepts, principles, and practices of an assigned business unit.
  • Experience in quantitative problem solving using programmatic approaches (i.e. R, Python, SQL, Excel) and a strong mathematical background is also required.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using, or having the ability to learn, required software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team.
  • Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a general understanding of financial markets along with strong analytical, creative, and communication skillsets.
  • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Provide a high level of customer service.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
  • High School (HS) (Required)
  • General Experience - 4 to 6 months

Nice To Haves

  • Opportunities are open to candidates from all backgrounds and concentration in quantitative disciplines (Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, and Quantitative Finance are preferred but not required).
  • Juniors preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and backtest proprietary systematic trading strategies through creative idea generation, advanced statistical modeling techniques, and data collection and analysis.
  • Conduct in-depth research on complex datasets to identify potential alpha opportunities and manage idiosyncratic and systemic risks for the sales and trading desks.
  • Assist traders with building a quantitative infrastructure and automating everyday workflows and processes.
  • Specified projects and varied assignments relating to the trading desk.
  • Works independently on assigned projects and tasks, meeting all delivery deadlines.
  • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
