About The Position

The Enterprise Strategy team is a newly established unit within the Member Strategy Office (MSO). Our focus involves developing, enhancing, implementing, and measuring the organization's Enterprise Strategy while providing consultative services and expertise to ensure alignment with business unit strategies across the credit union. The Summer Associate will support business decisions by analyzing business problems and issues using internal and external sources. They will provide quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to leadership. During the internship, the Summer Associate may contribute to a variety of high-impact projects, including but not limited to: Ongoing Competitive Intelligence & Market Monitoring, Executive-Level Competitive Deep Dives, Strategic Opportunity Assessments, Ad Hoc Strategic Support, and Internal Capability Benchmarking.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Currently pursuing an MBA or equivalent graduate degree with a focus in Strategy, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in both quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into executive-ready insights.
  • Prior experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, banking, or market research is a plus.
  • Intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of a regular cadence of competitive and market intelligence reporting.
  • Lead targeted research and analysis initiatives to address specific strategic questions from senior leadership.
  • Partner with business units to explore new growth opportunities, evaluate strategic initiatives, or assess operational challenges.
  • Contribute to special projects aligned with enterprise priorities, such as long-range planning, business model innovation, or transformation initiatives.
  • Analyze internal performance metrics in the context of industry benchmarks to identify areas of competitive advantage or improvement.
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on industry trends, emerging technologies, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Synthesize internal and external data to identify strategic opportunities, risks, and performance improvement areas.
  • Develop and deliver clear, concise, and compelling presentations and reports for senior leadership.
  • Support strategic planning processes, including scenario modeling, benchmarking, and business case development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate hypotheses and align on strategic recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on competitor activities, market shifts, and regulatory developments that may impact the business.
  • Perform other ad hoc analysis and projects.
